A 2" coil spacer on a JK or JL changes the caster angle measurably. Shops that sell spacer-only lifts without correcting caster leave customers with a Wrangler that wanders at 60 mph and is one rough road away from a death wobble episode.
The solid front axle uses a Panhard bar to locate the axle laterally. A lift raises the frame without raising the axle mounting point — leaving the track bar at a severe angle. The result is axle walk under load, poor handling, and accelerated bushing wear. Cheap lifts skip this component entirely.

Upper control arms change the geometry of the front axle, including the angle at which the CV joint operates. A UCA installed without verifying CV angle can create a bind zone — a point in suspension travel where the CV is forced beyond its design angle, accelerating wear and creating vibration under load.
At 3.5" of suspension lift and above, factory brake lines reach their limit at full droop. A line at its limit can kink, crack, or rupture — leaving the driver with partial or no braking. We've corrected this on more than a dozen Jeep builds that came in from other shops.
Every new suspension install experiences initial settling. Control arm bolts, track bar hardware, and end links all need re-torquing after the first few hundred miles to account for that settling. Shops that don't offer this are leaving the customer responsible for safety-critical hardware.
